Wes is a senior associate attorney at Atkins David LLC. He concentrates his practice in the area of workers’ compensation defense, representing employers, insurers and third party administrators with claims throughout Georgia. Wes has a wide array of experience in bringing workers’ compensation claims to successful resolutions before Administrative Law Judges throughout the state. He is also well versed in the appellate process, and has defended numerous hearing awards before the State Board of Workers’ Compensation’s Appellate Division and Superior Courts in the State of Georgia.
Wes is a graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, he was selected by his colleagues to serve on the Moot Court Executive Board as Vice President of Competitions. He competed in several national competitions, including the Cardozo BMI Moot Court Competition, where he won the First Place Best Brief Award and advanced to the Quarterfinals. Additionally, he excelled in numerous litigation and advocacy courses, such as Advanced Evidence, Advanced Trial Practice, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He received his B.B.A. in Managerial Science from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Prior to attending law school, he toured the United States as a professional musician and worked at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
